The multi-level marketing (MLM) company 5LINX collapsed following a federal investigation that alleged its co-founders engaged in multimillion-dollar fraud.

Between 2017 and 2019, the three co-founders—Craig Jerabeck, Jeb Tyler, and Jason Guck—were indicted and ultimately convicted of wire fraud, conspiracy, and tax evasion.

Embezzlement Schemes: Federal investigators found the founders illegally diverted millions of dollars (up to $4 million) from company revenue and vendors directly into their own personal bank accounts, hidden from board members and shareholders.

Prison Sentences & Restitution: In 2018 and 2019, the co-founders were sentenced to federal prison. Jerabeck and Tyler each received 14-month terms, while Guck received a seven-month term. They were also ordered to pay millions in restitution to victims and back taxes to the IRS.

Company Restructuring: In the wake of the legal turmoil, the company restructured into 5L Holdings, LLC in 2016 and was subsequently sold to new ownership.
