Anran is a nanotechnology and health-products company operated by Shandong Anran Nano Industry Development Co., Ltd., part of the Anran Group, and headquartered in Weihai, Shandong Province, China. The company was founded in June 2004 by Liu Rundong, who serves as Chairman, and Liang Hao, who serves as Vice Chairman and President. It was originally set up as a Hong Kong-invested enterprise. Anran develops products using organic and inorganic nano-material technologies and plant stem-cell ingredients, and its catalog includes functional textiles and apparel, nutritional supplements, skin care, cleaning products, cookware, and home-living items. On January 9, 2012, China's Ministry of Commerce granted Anran a direct-selling license, making it the first company in Shandong Province to receive one. The license originally covered a limited group of products in the Weihai area, including cosmetics, cleaning products, and small kitchenware. A Malaysian affiliate, Anran Nano (M) Sdn. Bhd., previously held a Malaysian direct-sales license that expired in 2014.
