Original Npros business profile for ATG Technologies, preserved below for archival purposes:
ATG Technologies, Inc. was a Tallahassee, Florida telecommunications company associated with entrepreneur Glen A. Davidson. Florida corporate records show that the corporation now known as PATLIVE, Inc. was originally incorporated on June 23, 1987, and lists ATG Technologies, Inc. as one of its former corporate names. PATLive's current company history traces its operating business to 1990, when Davidson developed a networked voice communications platform for distributed business users. The company later shifted toward telephone answering and call-management services and adopted PATLive as its principal brand. The original atg-tech.com domain was registered in 1997 and remains registered using PATLive contact information.
ATG Technologies marketed business telecommunications services rather than consumer merchandise. Historical materials identify PATLive as a division of ATG Technologies and describe services including toll-free telephone numbers, voice mailboxes, automated call routing, caller-number capture, message transcription, fax and email delivery, and telephone answering. An older customer application listed the company at 2024 North Point Boulevard, Tallahassee, Florida 32308, and promoted its PocketOffice and PATLive services. The business subsequently expanded PATLive into hosted local and toll-free numbers, auto attendants, Internet fax, call tracking and live receptionist services.
ATG Technologies had a significant regulatory matter involving its telephone-marketing practices. On August 21, 2007, the Federal Communications Commission issued an official citation to ATG Technologies and addressed it to Glen A. Davidson, Chairman. The FCC said consumer complaints indicated that ATG had delivered prerecorded unsolicited advertisements to residential telephone lines without the required consent and had made telemarketing calls to numbers on the National Do-Not-Call Registry, in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act and FCC rules.
