Biometics International Overview
Biometics International no longer appears to be active as a direct sales company.
On November 19, 2013, Youngevity International acquired certain assets and assumed certain liabilities of Biometics International. Youngevity described Biometics as a developer and distributor of liquid supplements marketed through a network of independent sales representatives. The transaction gave Biometics distributors access to Youngevity’s larger product catalog while adding the Biometics formulas to Youngevity’s network. The acquisition price was not publicly disclosed.
Approximately 10,000 Biometics distributors joined Youngevity in January 2014. The former independent distributor organization was folded into Youngevity’s broader network, and Biometics ceased operating a separate compensation structure. Former Biometics representatives could continue selling the products and building organizations under Youngevity’s MLM plan.
Original Npros business profile for Biometics International, preserved below for archival purposes:
Biometics International was founded in California in 1993 and operated from Camarillo under the leadership of founder, president and chief executive officer Ted Silverberg. The company developed and marketed liquid nutritional supplements, weight-management products and targeted wellness programs through independent distributors. Chris Sanchez, who initially helped establish the company's operating, inventory and compensation systems, later became its chief executive officer.
The company built its product line around a formulation process called Biocellular Micellization, which it promoted as improving the delivery and absorption of nutrients in liquid supplements. Products included Bio Fuel liquid multivitamin, Aloe Plus, Get-Go-N Plus, Bio Alert, Flexi-Care Plus, Cal/Mag 100, Bio Nite and several bundled nutrition, energy, mobility and weight-management programs.
Biometics sold its products through a multilevel network of independent distributors. Participants could earn retail profits from product sales and additional compensation based on the sales activity of recruited distributors and their organizations. The company maintained distributor accounts, replicated ordering tools and a network-marketing compensation system, although a complete surviving version of its former compensation plan with verified rank qualifications and commission percentages was not located.
