Eclipse Candle Company was a Texas-based direct-selling fragrance company launched in 2010. The business described its founders as four longtime friendsâ€"two Christian couplesâ€"who began producing candles before expanding into a nationwide home-party operation. Ken Knibbs served as CEO. Eclipse manufactured scented jar candles, wickless Memory Melts, decorative warmers, room and automobile sprays, and bath-and-body products. Its stated mission incorporated Christian values and emphasized benefiting customers, representatives, employees and local communities.

Products were sold through independent representatives called Glow Team Members in the United States and Puerto Rico. Representatives marketed through home parties, personal websites, social media and direct customer sales. The company paid a base commission of 30% on personal sales, with a 7% personal-sales bonus available at $1,000 in qualifying volume. Leadership commissions reportedly ranged from 2% to 8% on team sales and extended through as many as six downline levels at the Executive Director rank. Starter options included $49 and $89 product kits, while a temporary $10 website-only enrollment offered during 2012 provided a replicated sales site without a conventional product kit.
