In November 2013, the FTC alleged that Greenfoot Global had made false or inadequately substantiated claims that EnviroTabs would substantially increase fuel efficiency, decrease emissions, and save consumers money. Green Foot Global LLC and the Hyman defendants agreed to an $800,000 judgment, while the court orders prohibited the defendants from misrepresenting product testing or making fuel-saving and environmental claims without reliable scientific support. In April 2014, the FTC distributed $42,580.45 in full refunds to 1,274 purchasers, averaging $33.42 per consumer.
