Original Npros business profile for Javafit, preserved below for archival purposes:
JavaFit was developed by Javalution Coffee Company, a Florida-based coffee business founded in 2003. The concept was built around "functional coffee"â€"combining gourmet roasted coffee with nutritional ingredients intended to support goals such as energy, weight management, and general wellness. Scott Pumper, who served as president of Javalution, was closely associated with the development of the JavaFit concept, working with sports nutrition scientist Jose Antonio on its fortified coffee formulations. The company also owned CLR Roasters, its coffee roasting and manufacturing operation, and CafĂ© La Rica, a separate retail coffee brand.
JavaFit initially sold its products through conventional channels before expanding into network marketing. The company conducted a national MLM launch in July 2009, and by June 30, 2010, reported approximately 3,300 affiliates with JavaFit products distributed in 48 states. Javalution reported consolidated 2009 revenue of approximately $3.66 million, an increase of 118% over the previous year, with management attributing part of that growth to increased sales through the JavaFit network marketing division.
The JavaFit product line centered on fortified and specialty coffees. Products marketed over the years included Diet Plus, Energy Extreme and Java Impact, along with traditional and flavored gourmet coffees. The company's approach was to use coffee as a delivery system for added nutritional ingredients, including herbs, mushroom extracts and other supplements.
JavaFit's original network marketing compensation plan included retail profits, Fast Start bonuses, a two-team binary commission structure and leadership matching bonuses. Affiliates maintained personal-volume requirements to qualify for commissions, while organizational commissions were generated from sales volume placed on the two sides of the binary organization. The company later overhauled the program, and in January 2011 JavaFit relaunched its direct-selling operation with a simplified unilevel compensation plan for representatives it called Independent Coffee Brokers.
JavaFit ceased operating as an independent MLM company following a major corporate restructuring in 2011. On July 11, 2011, Youngevity's parent company, AL Global Corporation, merged with Javalution Coffee Company. The surviving company was renamed AL International and later became Youngevity International, Inc. in 2013. As part of the transaction, the JavaFit product line was incorporated into Youngevity's network of direct marketers, while CLR Roasters continued as the company's coffee manufacturing operation. JavaFit therefore continued as a product brand rather than as a separate network marketing company with its own distributor opportunity.
JavaFit trades on the OTC stock exchange under the symbol OF (JCOF)- Javalution Coffee Company. Javalution is a fully vertical coffee roasting and distribution company, owner of the multi-level marketing brand, JavaFit, and the retail brand, Café La Rica.
