M2CGlobal Review and History

Information on the M2CGlobal discontinued direct selling program.

M2CGlobal Overview

M2CGlobal no longer appears to be active as a direct sales company.

M2C Global was a legitimate network-marketing operation built primarily around the A.C.T. energy drink. It later transferred its assets and distributor business to AL Global, the company that became Youngevity.

Original Npros business profile for M2CGlobal, preserved below for archival purposes:

M2C Global Inc. was a Nevada-incorporated network-marketing company with business operations in the Dallasâ€"Carrollton, Texas area. By 2006, company promotions identified Paul Gravette as chief executive officer and described M2C as a "manufacturer-to-consumer" business. The company's principal product was A.C.T., short for Advanced Cell Therapy, an energy drink launched during the mid-2000s and promoted as a healthier alternative to heavily caffeinated and high-sugar energy drinks. Other products promoted through M2C distributors included Systrim or STACK BODY weight-management products and Vitalagy Super Juice.

M2C recruited independent dealers to sell products online, at wholesale, and directly to consumers. Although its promotions sometimes claimed that the manufacturer-to-consumer model eliminated "MLM," the company used a network-marketing compensation structure. Dealers earned income from personal product sales and purchasing volume generated within their groups, could enroll additional dealers, and received company-provided replicated websites and online back offices. Promotional materials stated that enrollment was free, monthly bulk purchases were not required, and commissions were paid daily. In late 2006, M2C also promoted a performance program offering a 100% check match to qualifying dealers earning between $100 and $200 per week.

On March 9, 2007, AL Global Corporation, the privately held company operating the Youngevity direct-selling business, agreed to purchase certain M2C Global assets for $4.5 million. The agreement called for $500,000 in three installments during 2007, followed by monthly payments equal to 10% of sales associated with the acquired assets until the remaining purchase price was paid. The agreement was amended on September 7, 2008. Youngevity's SEC filings continued to report an outstanding M2C acquisition liability of approximately $1.07 million as of December 31, 2018.

Following the acquisition, AL Global assumed responsibility for international operations, inventory, shipping, and marketing, while the A.C.T. business transitioned toward the DrinkACT.com identity. AL Global later merged with Javalution Coffee Company in 2011, became AL International, and adopted the Youngevity International name on July 23, 2013. M2C Global did not continue as an independent direct-selling company. BevNet now classifies the A.C.T. Energy brand as discontinued, and m2cglobal.com redirects visitors to Youngevity.
