The Los Angeles Times reported that IdeaSphere offered to buy Metabolife's assets and that the company had shifted to ephedra-free weight-control and energy products. IdeaSphere later completed the acquisition of certain Metabolife assets, including core non-ephedra brands such as Metabolife Ultra and Metabolife Complete.
