Neal's Yard Remedies was founded in 1981 by natural-health advocate Romy Fraser in Covent Garden, London. NYR Organic does not currently require monthly sales targets, mandatory autoship, or ongoing monthly fees. New Consultants purchase a starter kit containing products and business materials, and active Consultants receive a personalized online store and training at no additional charge. Neal's Yard Remedies Organic remains a member of the UK Direct Selling Association, which currently lists the company and its Consultant opportunity.

Neal's Yard Remedies remains an active company in 2026, with Anabel Kindersley serving as CEO and co-owner. The NYR Organic direct-selling channel remains active in the United Kingdom and Ireland, although the company has reduced its direct-selling footprint in some international markets over the years. Its current NYR Organic portal specifically directs prospective Consultants to its UK and Ireland programs.
