The company's product line centers on nutritional supplements and functional wellness beverages. NuVerus became particularly associated with products containing black seed, or Nigella sativa, along with fruit extracts and other plant-based ingredients. Its flagship product, NuVerus Plus, is marketed as an antioxidant liquid superfood, while NuVerus Energy is an organic energy beverage containing ingredients such as black seed oil, grape skin extract, quercetin, and organic fruit juices. New Associates can choose from three Fast Start Packages priced from $199.95 to $999.95. The package purchased determines the percentage of commissions an Associate can earn.
Nuverus has a binary compensation plan. NuVerus Associates can earn up to 20% on the Fast Start Packages purchased by Associates they sponsor, up to 20% on retail and preferred customer orders off their web site and retail profit on products purchased at wholesale. Associates begin earning team commissions when they have sponsored two new Associates. NuVerus Associates also have the opportunity to earn various bonuses as they move up in rank.
NuVerus was named as a defendant in a 2020 federal lawsuit involving an alleged breach of contract over the delivery of medical gowns by Physicians Wellness Group. The plaintiff attempted to connect NuVerus to the transaction through an alter-ego theory, but the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas found insufficient evidence linking NuVerus to the disputed conduct and granted summary judgment in NuVerus's favor on November 16, 2022. The litigation was unrelated to NuVerus's network marketing compensation plan.
