OPN, also known as The Opportunity Network, was an international social-networking and ecommerce-based direct-selling company tied to the earlier Unaico and SiteTalk business. The company was promoted as the direct-selling side of the SiteTalk platform, a free social network that combined member referrals, integrated services, online shopping, third-party products, games, deals, and member rewards. OPN was launched as a formal brand in 2012 after the Unaico/SiteTalk business had already been promoted internationally.
The company’s product and service model centered on SiteTalk, a social-networking platform that was intended to combine online community, loyalty rewards, ecommerce, digital services, and direct marketing. OPN materials described the business as different from traditional product-based network marketing because it was not tied to a single product line, formula, plant, or service. Instead, OPN promoted the idea of using members’ social networks to distribute a changing mix of goods, services, shopping benefits, and digital offers.
OPN used a network-marketing-style sales model. Members were encouraged to refer others into SiteTalk and OPN, activate business profiles, purchase or promote advantage packages, and participate in the company’s compensation structure. The opportunity was promoted internationally through replicated links, online presentations, conventions, leadership calls, and social-network-based recruiting. Enrollment Options
It is free to register as a SiteTalk user. New users receive a free membership/position in the OPN business model at the time of registration. This position remains dormant until the user decides to activate his/her position. There is no obligation to ever activate the position.
In order to participate in the compensation plan, a SiteTalk user must activate his/her dormant OPN position by purchasing an upgrade package.
Compensation Plan
OPN has a binary compensation plan. SiteTalk members can earn three types of commission payouts: Direct Personal Sales Commission paid on all personally generated sales, Group Business Volume, and Matching Bonus paid out seven levels deep for a percentage of commissions earned by a member’s downline.
