Plunder Design is no longer active as an independent direct-selling company. jBloom Designs acquired the company in May 2024 and provided a transition path for Plunder’s independent Stylists into the jBloom sales organization.

Plunder Design was a Utah-based jewelry direct seller founded by Hillary Adams. Adams began designing and selling jewelry after her family experienced serious financial difficulties following the 2008 recession, eventually developing the business into a party-plan company. Plunder Design formally launched its direct-selling operation in 2014 from Payson, Utah, with Adams serving as CEO. The company specialized in affordable vintage-inspired and fashion jewelry and built its sales force around independent representatives known as Stylists.

The product line included necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, charms, personalized pieces, accessories, and later permanent and 24/7-wear jewelry. Plunder also offered the Plunder Posse, a monthly jewelry subscription that provided customers with exclusive pieces. Stylists sold through home parties, social media, personalized websites, vendor events, and direct customer sales.

Plunder used a multilevel compensation plan that combined retail commissions with team-building compensation. Stylists historically began with approximately 20% to 25% commission on personal sales and could increase their retail commission as they advanced through the plan. Team commissions extended through multiple downline levels, with leadership bonuses, rank bonuses, Fast Start incentives, and other rewards available to qualifying Stylists. By 2021, the company promoted personal-sales commissions of up to 40%. A standard starter kit cost approximately $99 and included jewelry, catalogs, order forms, business materials, and training resources. The company did not require Stylists to maintain inventory or meet a monthly personal-sales quota simply to remain enrolled.

On May 1, 2024, jBloom Designs announced its acquisition of Plunder Design. Founders Hillary and Abe Adams chose jBloom as the destination for the Plunder sales force rather than closing the company without a transition plan. Plunder Stylists were invited into jBloomââ'¬â"¢s independent Designer organization, where jBloom continued selling personalized, fashion, and permanent jewelry. The acquisition ended Plunder Designââ'¬â"¢s run as a separate direct-selling opportunity.
