Scent-Lit was a Virginia-based direct-selling company that entered the home-fragrance market around 2011. Operating as Scent-Lit, LLC, the company sold wickless, waxless decorative fragrance products through a home-party sales model. Contemporary direct-selling listings placed the company in Yorktown, Virginia. Scent-Lit filed a federal trademark application for the Scent-Lit Lighting · Style · Aroma name in November 2011 and claimed first commercial use beginning March 1, 2011.
The company's main product was an alternative to a conventional scented candle. Rather than burning wax and a wick, Scent-Lit used a decorative electric light with an adjustable dimmer. Fragrance was sprayed onto the lid of the unit, allowing the product to provide both ambient lighting and scent without an open flame. The company offered the lights in multiple decorative collections along with a selection of fragrances designed to coordinate with different rooms and decorating styles.
Scent-Lit marketed its products through independent direct-sales representatives and home parties. Surviving company information does not preserve a reliable compensation plan, consultant starter-kit price, commission schedule, or evidence of a multilevel downline compensation structure. It is therefore more accurately described as a direct-selling/home-party company than as a documented MLM unless additional compensation materials surface.
The business is no longer operating. Its federal trademark application was abandoned on February 8, 2013, after Scent-Lit failed to respond to the USPTO within the required period. The former scentlit.com domain no longer operates as a company website and is currently offered for sale.

Scent-Lit offers three Starter Kits for new Consultants â€" a Basic Package for $99.00, Premium Package for $149.00, or Executive Package for $199.00. All include product samples, scent testers, brochures, catalogs, invoices, business cards and a Scent Lit Debit Card.
Compensation Plan
Scent-Lit Consultants earn 25% commission on their personal retail sales, and can earn additional income on their team's sales when they recruit others.
