Skinny Body Care was a weight-management and personal-care network-marketing company founded by Ben Glinsky. The company entered prelaunch in late 2010 and formally launched in 2011, initially operating from the St. Louis area before later being associated with Utah. Its flagship product was Skinny Fiber, a capsule-based dietary supplement promoted for appetite control and weight management. The product line later expanded to include Skinny Body Max, the nighttime drink HiBurn8, the E3 nutritional and electrolyte formula, Instant Youth skincare treatment and Ageless facial serum.
Skinny Body Care sold its products through independent distributors using a multilevel compensation plan. Distributors earned retail profits and commissions on initial product orders, while residual commissions were calculated through a unilevel organization. By 2016, participants generally needed at least 50 points of monthly personal volume to remain commission-qualified. The plan included fast-start commissions, team-volume commissions and rank-achievement bonuses. Historical versions of the plan advertised one-time bonuses of $1,000 for Platinum, $5,000 for Diamond, $25,000 for Crown Diamond and $100,000 for Royal Crown Diamond.
Skinny Body Care became involved in a private commercial dispute with Master Strategies LLC and AAM Investments LLC concerning the Skinny Fiber business and related contractual and intellectual-property issues. The dispute proceeded to arbitration against RJ Worldwide LLC, doing business as Skinny Body Care, and Ben Glinsky, with a final arbitration award issued on November 14, 2018. This was a private business dispute rather than a government enforcement action.
Compensation Plan
Skinny Body Care's compensation plan is a 3x8 forced matrix. A distributor needs to have 3 people as their direct down line either recruited by them or by someone above them. Distributors will receive a bonus to all their down lines up to 8 levels if all of them make a monthly product purchase.
