Original Npros business profile for Solavei, preserved below for archival purposes:
Solavei was a Bellevue, Washington-based mobile-service and social-commerce company founded by Ryan Wuerch and Rick White. The company introduced its wireless service nationally on September 21, 2012, offering no-contract mobile plans through T-Mobile's network. Its original flagship plan provided unlimited voice, text and data for $49 per month, although the amount of high-speed data and the available plan options changed during the company's operation.
Solavei operated as a mobile virtual network operator, or MVNO, rather than owning a cellular network. Customers supplied their own compatible phones or purchased devices and SIM cards through the company. Solavei later introduced lower-priced mobile plans and the Solavei Marketplace, a loyalty and shopping program intended to provide discounts and cash-back offers from participating merchants.
The company used a Trio-based multilevel referral compensation plan. A Trio consisted of three mobile-service customers connected within a member's personal network. Members earned $20 per month for each complete Trio as long as all three customers continued paying for service. Nine active customers, or three Trios, generated $60 per month, enough to offset the original $49 service charge. The personal network included customers enrolled directly by the member and customers subsequently enrolled through that network, giving the program a multilevel structure rather than a conventional one-time referral arrangement.
New members could also earn Fast Action Bonuses for forming Trios during their first 60 days. The plan paid $50 for the first Trio, an additional $100 for the second, $200 for the third and $300 for the fourth, producing a possible cumulative bonus of $650 for enrolling 12 service customers. Solavei's Path Pay system provided additional monthly payments and one-time advancement bonuses based on the number of Trios in a member's personal and overall organization, subject to l
To sign up with Solavei, consumers can either use their own Solavei-compatible phone or purchase one of Solavei's phones, which start at $159.00. Monthly mobile service is $49.00. The Solavei app (available for Android phones) covers everything Solavei members need to enroll friends and family, check on how much they have earned, and connect with their personal network.
Compensation Plan
Solavei members earn $20.00 per month on every three mobile-service members (called a Trio) that they or someone in their network introduce to Solavei. When members have more than three Trios in their network, the income generated is greater than their monthly mobile service plan cost of $49.00, making it essentially free. Members earn a Fast Action Bonus for Trios they directly enroll in their first 60 days. Solavei members earn increased monthly pay as their network grows and they advance in rank.
