SoZo Global was founded in 2009 and launched as a health-and-wellness multilevel marketing company headquartered in the Dallas, Texas area. The company was created by a group of entrepreneurs with backgrounds in nutrition and network marketing, together with the producer of CoffeeBerry®, a patented whole coffee-fruit ingredient rich in natural antioxidants. SoZo Global built its business around the SoZo Life nutritional beverage, which combined CoffeeBerry with fruit and vegetable extracts and was marketed as a daily antioxidant and wellness supplement. The company later expanded its portfolio with additional nutritional and wellness products while promoting the broader "SoZo Life" lifestyle concept centered on health, fitness, financial opportunity and community outreach.
SoZo Global marketed its products through independent distributors using a binary compensation plan. Distributors earned retail profits from product sales and commissions based on the sales volume generated within their organizations. SoZo Distributors can also earn Team Commissions, Leadership Check Matching Income, Rank Achievement Bonuses and Power Leg Bonuses. In addition, a Distributor who reaches the highest rank can earn a second business center positioned directly above their first business center.
