Strong Future International, commonly known as SFI Marketing Group, was launched in 1998 by Gery Carson as the Internet marketing division of Carson Services, Inc. Carson had founded the parent company in Lincoln, Nebraska, in 1985 as a mail-order and publishing business before expanding into online commerce. SFI developed as a hybrid of affiliate marketing, direct sales, and network marketing, allowing participants to promote products online while building organizations of other affiliates. The company remains active in 2026 and describes itself as being in its 28th year of operation.

SFI initially marketed a relatively small selection of products but expanded substantially with the development of its online marketplace. In January 2009, Carson Services launched TripleClicks, which became the primary e-commerce platform supporting the SFI opportunity. TripleClicks currently carries more than 6,200 products and services, including consumer merchandise, collectibles, specialty products, digital services, games, auctions, and other marketplace offerings. SFI states that its products and services are sold in more than 190 countries.

Affiliates can join SFI without an enrollment fee or mandatory product purchase. They receive websites, training, marketing tools, payment processing, customer service, and other support services for promoting products through the SFI and TripleClicks systems. Affiliates earn direct commissions from qualifying sales and can earn additional compensation by sponsoring and developing affiliate teams. The Better Business Bureau describes SFI as an affiliate program in which participants can join at no cost, earn commissions on product sales, and qualify for overrides at higher ranks.

The current compensation plan uses VersaPoints (VP) to determine qualification and leadership rank. An Executive Affiliate qualifies monthly with 1,500 VP, including at least 1,000 VP generated through sales and/or purchases. Qualified affiliates can earn direct commissions of up to 50% of commissionable volume and participate in the company's Executive Pool. Leadership ranks advance through Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Team Leader levels, with higher ranks receiving matching compensation on activity generated deeper within their organizations. Diamond Team Leaders can earn Matching VP through as many as 12 generations.

SFI has changed its products, online platforms, compensation mechanics, and affiliate tools repeatedly during its long operating history, but the underlying model remains centered on product sales combined with team building. Carson Services also operates TripleClicks and related online properties. The company's longevity distinguishes it from many Internet-based MLM programs launched during the late 1990s and early 2000s that later disappeared. Current company materials continue to accept affiliates, provide compensation-plan information, publish training material, and maintain active support systems.

Gery Carson continues as founder, president, and CEO. In December 2024, Carson said he was transferring some day-to-day responsibilities to his adult children and longtime employees while remaining actively involved with SFI and Carson Services. The company continues to operate from Lincoln, Nebraska.
