Original Npros business profile for Tarrah Cosmetics, preserved below for archival purposes:
Tarrah Cosmetics was a skincare and cosmetics direct-selling company whose history dated to 1973, when the business was founded in Dallas, Texas as LadyLove Skin Care. The company changed its name to Tarrah in 1997 while continuing its focus on skincare, cosmetics, and personal-care products sold through independent representatives. Tarrah Cosmetics, Inc. was incorporated in Florida on September 18, 1997 and later operated from Boynton Beach and Boca Raton. Leslie Timmins Campbell served as the company's president and CEO.
Tarrah offered a broad beauty line that included facial skincare, acne treatments, moisturizers, body lotions, cosmetics, lip products, aromatherapy products, and specialized hand and foot treatments. Products included Soul Renewal Foaming Foot Scrub, Soul Renewal Cooling Foot Creme, Green Tea Body Lotion, Aromatherapy Body Lotion, body butters, and Brilliant Shine Plumping Lipstick. The company's skincare formulations incorporated ingredients such as green tea extracts, shea butter, essential oils, vitamins, botanical extracts, and Coenzyme Q10.
The company sold through independent beauty consultants using a combination of person-to-person sales and party-plan selling. Tarrah was a member of the Direct Selling Association and was included among DSA member companies participating in the organization's 2010 charitable programs. Industry records classified Tarrah's selling method as both party-plan and person-to-person direct sales. Consultants sold directly to customers and could build sales organizations, although a complete historical Tarrah compensation plan with reliable commission percentages and leadership overrides is no longer available.
Tarrah continued operating into the early 2010s. Business records identify the company as a house-to-house cosmetics seller with approximately 12 employees and estimated annual revenue of about $1.1 million during its later years. The Florida corporation filed annual reports through 2012 but was administratively dissolved on September 27, 2013 after failing to file its annual report. The former tarrah.com website no longer operates as a cosmetics company or consultant opportunity and the domain is now offered for sale.
Tarrah Cosmetics was a member of the Direct Sellers Assocation.
