Time to Celebrate was a direct-selling division of Department 56, the Minnesota-based collectibles and giftware company known for its lighted villages, Snowbabies figurines and holiday decorations. Introduced in the early 2000s, Time to Celebrate expanded Department 56's distribution beyond gift stores and seasonal retail locations by selling holiday and seasonal merchandise directly to consumers through home parties. Its assortment included Christmas and Halloween decorations, tabletop accessories, candles, figurines, serving pieces and products from the Merryville village collection. Department 56 described the operation as a seller of holiday and seasonal giftware assortments through consumer home shows.

Independent sales consultants organized home shows, presented the merchandise and accepted customer orders. Consultants earned income from product sales and could advance into leadership positions by recruiting and supporting additional consultants. Surviving recruiting material promoted a starter kit that could be earned back when a consultant generated more than $500 in product sales during the first full month. A complete official compensation plan is no longer publicly available, so reliable commission percentages and leadership-bonus rates could not be confirmed.

Department 56 decided in October 2005 to discontinue Time to Celebrate and completed the shutdown in December 2005. The division generated approximately $2.04 million in net sales during 2005 but recorded a $3.27 million operating loss and a $2.18 million net loss. Department 56 also recorded a $594,000 charge to reduce the value of the remaining Time to Celebrate inventory.
