Velata was a Meridian, Idaho-based Scentsy Family direct-sales brand launched in 2012. The company sold chocolate fondue warmers, premium Belgian chocolate, and related kitchen products through independent consultants, home parties, open houses, fundraisers, fairs, shows, and online sales. Consultants could enroll in Velata as a separate Scentsy Family brand while building a shared team structure across Scentsy’s related direct-sales businesses.
Velata was discontinued in 2016 after Scentsy moved away from its multi-brand strategy and refocused on the core Scentsy fragrance and home-products business. Velata, a Scentsy Family company launched in May 2012, offers fondue warmers and premium Belgian chocolate through its network of independent representatives at home parties, open houses, fairs and shows, fundraisers, and online. Velata is headquartered in Meridian, Idaho.
Velata ceramic fondue warmers use a 25-watt light bulb and a patent-pending silicone dish to keep chocolate at the perfect temperature for dipping with no scorching, flame, or messy clean-up. Velata chocolate comes packaged in a microwavable, six-ounce pouch with a pour spout and is available in four flavors: Milk, White, Dark, and Caramel.
At a Velata party, a Velata Consultant sets up a display of products for the host and guests to sample and enjoy. Guests who can’t attend a party can place their orders online. Hosts of Velata parties with $150 or more in guest sales earn half-price products and product credits. If one of their guests decides to host their own Velata party, the host can earn an additional half-price item if they attend.
