Original Npros business profile for Vitamark International, preserved below for archival purposes:

Vitamark International was founded in 2002 in Houston, Texas, by network-marketing veterans David Bertrand, Jana Mitcham and Tom "Big Al" Schreiter. Bertrand and Mitcham had worked together in the industry since the early 1980s and, with Schreiter, were involved with Consumer Express, a nutritional MLM that later became Nutrition For Life International. Vitamark was established as a new health-and-wellness network marketing company built around that management team's previous experience. The BBB records the business as beginning locally on September 4, 2002, under the alternate name VitaCorp International.

Vitamark marketed nutritional supplements, functional beverages, weight-management products and related wellness products through independent distributors. Its better-known products included Limu Plus, VitaOne, Vita-Che, Vita Enhanced Water, VitaMune, NaturFlex, Coral Calcium, Appetizer Diet, RevitalGen and Crave Energy Drink. Limu Plus was one of the company's flagship nutritional products, while VitaOne and VitaMune were vitamin and dietary-supplement formulations. Vitamark also developed an extensive portfolio of supplement trademarks; federal trademark records confirm products including VitaOne, VitaMune, RevitalGen and Enzact 77K. At its peak, company promotional materials stated that distributors were doing business in more than 40 countries, with formal operations in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom and numerous European markets.

The company operated through a multilevel, unilevel-style compensation structure in which independent distributors earned retail profits and residual commissions generated by personally sponsored distributors and their downline organizations. Vitamark emphasized duplication and recurring product purchases rather than a traditional retail salesforce. Historical compensation descriptions show commissions extending through multiple sponsored levels, with advancement and residual-income opportunities tied to distributor organization volume. Tom Schreiter, a longtime MLM trainer and author known in the industry as "Big Al," served as chairman; David Bertrand was president; Jana Mitcham was executive vice president; and Tom Mitcham served as vice president of operations.

Vitamark effectively ended as a separate network marketing company in August 2012, when its distributor organization joined It Works! Global. The transaction became effective August 1, 2012. It Works announced that Vitamark distributor organizations would transfer intact and thereafter operate solely under the It Works! Global name, compensation plan and training system. Bertrand stated that he, Schreiter and Tom Mitcham would continue supporting their organization as part of It Works. The transition therefore functioned as a migration of Vitamark's distributor field into It Works rather than the continued operation of Vitamark as a separate MLM.

Vitamark's European corporate entity survived for a short period after the distributor transition. Vitamark International (Europe) Limited eventually applied for voluntary strike-off in February 2014 and was formally dissolved on June 24, 2014. Several of Vitamark International's U.S. trademarks were also cancelled or abandoned during the years surrounding the transition. The original vitamark.com domain no longer operates as an active Vitamark direct-selling website.
