Original Npros business profile for WowWe, preserved below for archival purposes:
iWowWe was a Texas-based communications-technology and network-marketing company founded by William "Bill" Starkey. Better Business Bureau records date the business to October 25, 2007, under the legal name WowWe Inc., with iWowWe Inc. listed as an alternate name. The company introduced its consumer video-communications platform in 2010 and offered video email, web conferencing, contact management, video storage, presentation templates, screen sharing and related online marketing tools. By October 2011, iWowWe reported more than 600,000 platform users during the preceding month and operated servers in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia.
The company initially marketed its software directly to businesses and consumers before adding a multilevel compensation opportunity. In 2013, its primary package cost $195 upfront plus $25 per month, while participation in the compensation plan required a separate $20 annual affiliate fee. Affiliates received approximately $50, or 25% of the package price, for a direct sale and could earn a $100 bonus for every four packages sold during a month. Additional compensation was paid through a binary organization, including $25 for matching one new product sale on each side and $25 in monthly residual compensation for matching five active subscriptions on each side. Rank-based matching bonuses and higher monthly commission limits were also available. iWowWe was admitted to the Direct Selling Association in March 2013.
