ZamZuu is no longer active. The company ceased operations in 2010 after filing for bankruptcy, and its assets and distributor organization were acquired by Ignite, LLC.

ZamZuu was founded in 2007 by Steve and Gina Merritt and was headquartered in Draper, Utah. The company entered the direct-selling industry with a wellness-focused product line that included nutritional supplements, energy drinks, antioxidant beverages, weight-management products and personal-care items. Its flagship products included the ZamZuu nutritional drink, ZamZuu2Go energy shots, and a variety of vitamin and wellness formulations. The company sought to differentiate itself by combining consumable health products with an aggressive field-leadership development program and rapid international expansion.

ZamZuu marketed its products through a multilevel marketing compensation plan. Independent distributors earned retail profits from product sales and commissions based on the sales volume generated by their organizations. The compensation plan included fast-start bonuses, binary team commissions, matching bonuses, leadership pools and incentive trips. During its brief period of operation, ZamZuu attracted a number of experienced MLM leaders from other companies and expanded into several international markets.

Despite its early growth, ZamZuu experienced financial difficulties within three years of its launch. In September 2010, the company filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Utah. Court records show that ZamZuu's assets were subsequently sold to Ignite, LLC, which continued selling portions of the product line for a period after the acquisition.
