ZoneNet, also marketed as Dr. Sears ZoneNet, was a health and nutrition network marketing company launched in 2004 around products and nutritional concepts developed by Dr. Barry Sears, creator of the Zone Diet. Federal trademark records give February 29, 2004 as the first commercial use of the ZONENET name. The direct-selling operation was developed by Sears together with Doug Sears and experienced network-marketing executives Dennis and Carol Berardi and George Jochum. ZoneNet operated from 4349 Southwest Port Way in Palm City, Florida. Dr. Sears provided the scientific and product-development foundation, while the Berardis brought extensive direct-selling experience; their earlier company history included owning a network marketing organization that had recruited approximately 83,000 distributors within eight months.

ZoneNet marketed nutritional supplements, nutritional food bars, health foods, edible oils and fats, and skin-care products based around Sears' Zone Diet and nutritional research. One of the principal products promoted through representatives was OmegaRx, Sears' high-purity omega-3 fish oil formulation. The broader Zone product family during this period also included Zone nutritional bars, supplements, meal-replacement products and other products designed around Sears' dietary approach. Sears had already established the Zone brand through his books and nutritional programs, and by 2006 his Zone-related websites included zonediet.com, zonenetonline.com, zonecafe.com, zonelabsinc.com and drsears.com.

ZoneNet used independent representatives to sell products directly to consumers and develop distributorships. Its federal trademark registration specifically described the business as direct solicitation by independent sales representatives, door-to-door retail merchandising, mail-order and online retail sales, together with assistance in establishing health-and-nutrition distributorships. Contemporary representative advertising also promoted ZoneNet as an income opportunity built around products such as OmegaRx. The surviving public record confirms that ZoneNet operated as a network-marketing/direct-selling organization, although a reliable copy of its complete historical compensation plan is no longer readily available, so the exact commission architecture should not be characterized as binary, unilevel or matrix without additional documentation.
