Ann Summers
December 9, 2025
Ann Summers reported turnover of GBP 93.4 million for the 52 weeks to June 28, 2025, little changed from GBP 93 million a year earlier, according to accounts filed with Companies House.
The pre-tax loss narrowed to GBP 3 million from GBP 13 million the year before, and the company said it returned to a small profit on an adjusted EBITDA basis of GBP 100,000, compared with a GBP 5.6 million loss in the prior year. Gross profit rose 0.5 percent to GBP 58.5 million. Headcount fell from 1,180 to 1,011, and the store estate shrank from 80 to 75.
The company said it responded to tough trading by optimising its store estate and that it made the strategic decision to close Connect, its long-running direct selling channel, which ceased trading in October 2025. It cited the July 2024 launch of Knickerbox.com and its new KBX in-house brand as key milestones, along with expansion through third-party partnerships including Liwa in the Middle East.
"The financial year 2024-25 has been one of resilience and strategic adaptation for Ann Summers," said chief executive Maria Hollins, adding that continued shareholder support had underpinned the company's liquidity.
Ann Summers last reported a pre-tax profit, of GBP 6.6 million, in the year to June 2021 and has since recorded more than GBP 40 million in pre-tax losses.
