GUADALAJARA, Mexico -- January 19, 2026
Betterware de Mexico, the parent of Betterware and Jafra, said it has agreed to acquire Tupperware's Latin American operations, mainly in Mexico and Brazil, along with a perpetual, royalty-free, exclusive license to the Tupperware brand across Latin America. The seller is Party Products, LLC. The license for Argentina takes effect in September 2026.
The company will pay 250 million dollars on a debt-free, excess-cash-free basis, made up of 215 million dollars in cash funded with debt and 35 million dollars in Betterware shares. It said the price represents 3.1 times estimated 2025 EBITDA and that the deal is expected to add about 81 million dollars of annual EBITDA and roughly 40 percent to earnings per share. Net leverage is expected to rise to 1.9 times from 1.6 times, with no expected change to the dividend policy. Closing is expected in the first half of 2026, subject to approval by Betterware shareholders and regulators.
Tupperware's Latin American business generated about 404 million dollars in sales in 2022 and is projected at 278 million dollars for 2025. It has more than 140 distributors, more than 200,000 representatives and manufacturing plants in Mexico and Brazil. "This acquisition brings together three of the most iconic brands in Latin America's direct selling market: Betterware, Jafra, and now Tupperware," said Chairman Luis Campos, who led Tupperware Americas from 1994 to 1999.
