SEOUL, South Korea, January 2, 2023 -- Coway Co., Ltd. said it is changing from a co-chief executive structure to a sole chief executive system. Jangwon Seo, who had been co-chief executive officer, will become the sole chief executive officer as co-CEO Hae-Sun Lee retires and moves into a part-time advisor role effective February 6, 2023.
Seo said the company will use crisis resilience and challenge resolution to strengthen core business competitiveness and secure new growth engines. He previously served as Coway's chief financial officer and became co-CEO in January 2021 after senior roles at Netmarble and earlier work as a U.S. attorney at Shin & Kim.
Coway is a South Korea based environmental home-appliance company that sells water purifiers, air purifiers, bidets and mattresses through a door-to-door and membership model and overseas subsidiaries.
