Herbalife said Stephan Gratziani will transition from chief executive officer effective October 31, 2026, and that Chief Financial Officer John DeSimone will serve as interim CEO beginning November 1, 2026, while a board committee oversees the search for a permanent successor.
After the transition, Gratziani will continue supporting Herbalife as a consultant focused on strategy and business development and will return his primary focus to his independent distributorship. The company said that distributorship includes nearly 700,000 distributors and preferred members.
DeSimone has been with Herbalife nearly 20 years and has also served as president, chief strategy officer and special adviser to the CEO. The CEO transition follows the August 5 announcement that DeSimone plans to retire as CFO at year-end 2026 with Scott Schaefer as his successor.
