Herbalife said Chief Financial Officer John DeSimone will retire effective December 31, 2026, and that Scott Schaefer, senior vice president of finance and transformation, will succeed him as CFO effective January 1, 2027.
DeSimone notified the board of his retirement plans on July 30, 2026. Schaefer has served as SVP of finance and transformation since November 2025 and previously spent more than 16 years at Zappos, including as president and CEO from December 2021 to November 2024 and as CFO before that.
Herbalife said DeSimone returned to the CFO role in early 2024 after earlier senior posts that included president and chief strategy officer. The CFO succession was disclosed alongside second-quarter earnings.
