The Herbalife Nutrition board elected Alan W. LeFevre as lead independent director. Don Mulligan, a director and former executive vice president and chief financial officer of General Mills, will chair the audit committee. Maria Otero, who had been interim lead independent director, will keep the compensation committee chair.
Chairman and chief executive John Agwunobi thanked Otero for holding both roles and said LeFevre and Mulligan bring finance and consumer-products experience. LeFevre, former executive vice president of finance and chief financial officer of Jarden Corporation, has been a director since 2018 and had most recently chaired the audit committee.
The changes reset board leadership ahead of the next phase of growth the company described in the announcement. They do not add new outside directors. They reassign the lead independent director seat and the audit chair.
