Herbalife Ltd. reported second-quarter 2023 net sales of 1.314 billion dollars, down 5.7 percent from a year earlier, or 4.2 percent in constant currency. Reported net income was 59.9 million dollars and adjusted EBITDA was 169.6 million dollars. Diluted EPS was 0.60 dollars, or 0.74 dollars on an adjusted basis, including an estimated 0.12 dollar currency headwind.
Chairman and chief executive Michael Johnson said year-over-year sales trends improved for a second consecutive quarter and that the company remained on a path to return to growth in the fourth quarter of 2023. Transformation Program run-rate savings expectations rose to at least 90 million dollars in 2024 and beyond, with more than 45 million dollars anticipated in 2023. Pre-tax Transformation expenses of about 10 million dollars weighed on the quarter.
Asia Pacific net sales were 425.8 million dollars, North America 303.6 million dollars, EMEA 289.6 million dollars, Latin America 207.0 million dollars and China 88.0 million dollars. Herbalife is listed in the Npros directory as Herbalife International.
