Melaleuca appointed founder Frank VanderSloot as executive chairman of the board and promoted Jerry Felton to chief executive officer. VanderSloot, who had served as CEO since founding the company in 1985, said he would focus on strategy, messaging, new products, and culture while still directing marketing and legal and training leaders.
As CEO, Felton heads sales and operations across the roughly 20 countries and territories where Melaleuca operates and reports to VanderSloot. Felton previously was president of Melaleuca International, where the company said he tripled international revenues over about a decade. Melaleuca said it employs more than 4,600 team members and has more than two million households shopping monthly.
