HONG KONG, February 8, 2023 -- Natural Health Trends Corp. reported fourth-quarter 2022 revenue of 12.5 million dollars, up 7 percent from the third quarter but down 22 percent from 16.1 million dollars a year earlier. Operating income was 43,000 dollars and net income was 188,000 dollars, or 0.02 dollars per diluted share.
Full-year revenue was 49.1 million dollars, down 18 percent from 60.0 million dollars. The company posted a full-year operating loss of 270,000 dollars and net income of 313,000 dollars, or 0.03 dollars per diluted share. Active members fell 12 percent year over year to 38,660. Cash and cash equivalents were 69.7 million dollars at year-end.
President Chris Sharng said urban China remained under restrictions for much of the fourth quarter and that the company focused on cost control and product mix while still lifting sequential revenue. The board declared a 0.20 dollar quarterly dividend payable March 3, 2023.
