Natural Health Trends Corp. reported second-quarter 2023 revenue of 10.5 million dollars, down 21 percent from 13.4 million dollars a year earlier. Operating loss was 743,000 dollars. Net loss was 219,000 dollars, or 0.02 dollars per diluted share, versus net income of 183,000 dollars a year earlier. Active members were 36,730, down 4 percent sequentially and 15 percent year over year.
President Chris Sharng said total orders were roughly flat despite a stronger U.S. dollar, with Hong Kong orders up 5 percent year over year, though a late-June order surge after a Macau event meant not all orders shipped in the quarter. Cash and cash equivalents were 61.6 million dollars. The board declared a 0.20 dollar quarterly dividend payable August 25, 2023.
