LOS ANGELES, Calif. -- July 30, 2025
Natural Health Trends reported second-quarter 2025 revenue of 9.8 million dollars, down 6 percent from 10.5 million dollars a year earlier, which the company attributed to retaliatory tariff threats. The operating loss widened to 333,000 dollars from 238,000 dollars, and net income fell to 15,000 dollars, or breakeven per share, from 173,000 dollars, or 0.02 dollars per share.
Active members, defined as those who placed at least one order in the prior 12 months, fell to 29,260 from 31,110 a year earlier. President Chris Sharng said heightened uncertainty from trade tensions is expected to weigh heavily on consumer sentiment in the company's biggest market. To reduce tariff risk, the company is moving production to manufacturing partners in Asia, closer to its core markets.
Cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities fell to 34.2 million dollars from 43.9 million dollars at the end of 2024, after the company made its final installment payments on its liability under the 2017 U.S. Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The board declared a quarterly dividend of 0.20 dollars per share.
