Natural Health Trends Corp. reported third-quarter 2023 revenue of 10.6 million dollars, down 9 percent from 11.7 million dollars a year earlier. The company said the decline was mainly due to changes in deferred revenue, which produced an 835,000 dollar unfavorable variance, and that total orders taken were roughly flat despite a stronger dollar and cautious consumer sentiment.
Operating loss widened to 292,000 dollars from 145,000 dollars, while net income rose to 172,000 dollars, or 0.02 dollars per diluted share, from 47,000 dollars. Active members fell 6 percent from June 30 to 34,660 and were down 16 percent from 41,170 a year earlier. Cash flow from operations improved by 1.4 million dollars.
For the first nine months, revenue fell 10 percent to 33.0 million dollars. The company declared a quarterly cash dividend of 0.20 dollars per share. Natural Health Trends sells personal care, wellness and quality-of-life products under the NHT Global brand.
