Natural Health Trends reported third-quarter 2024 revenue of 10.7 million dollars, up 1 percent from 10.6 million dollars a year earlier and sequentially higher as well. The operating loss narrowed slightly to 275,000 dollars from 292,000 dollars, while net income fell to 35,000 dollars, or breakeven per diluted share, from 172,000 dollars, or 0.02 dollars, on lower interest income and a higher tax rate.
Active members declined 11 percent from a year earlier to 30,880. President Chris Sharng said consumer spending in the main market remained weak but customer and leader engagement stayed strong as the company leaned on training, product roadshows and new products.
Cash, cash equivalents and marketable securities totaled 46.3 million dollars at quarter-end. The board declared a quarterly cash dividend of 0.20 dollars per share, payable November 22, 2024.
