Tupperware
October 3, 2022
Tupperware Brands began selling its food storage containers in Target stores nationwide and on Target.com, marking the first time in its history that the 76-year-old brand is sold broadly in a retail store. The assortment includes a variety of container sizes and bundles priced from 7.99 dollars to 79.99 dollars.
The Target rollout follows the company's June 2022 launch on Amazon and earlier limited retail pilots with HomeGoods, Bed Bath & Beyond and Target. The move is part of a broader strategy to grow through multiple retail channels and reach younger consumers who never experienced the era of Tupperware parties.
Chief executive Miguel Fernandez said younger customers less familiar with direct sales will now find the brand at retail and can develop personal relationships from there, while customers who love Tupperware parties, in person or online, can also pick up products at a nearby store. Tupperware parties and its independent sales force will continue.
