Arbonne Product Recalls

Like many companies that have a discrepancy in the production, pricing, quality or safety of their product, Arbonne International has had its fair share of product recalls in its 20 years of operation in the United States. Arbonne's most recent recall involved its Seasource Detox Spa Foaming Sea Salt Scrub, due to a lot containing the presence of Pseudomonas aeruginosa bacteria.

Arbonne's main concern was that the organism would cause dermatitis, soft tissue infections, bacteremia, and a variety of system infections iimmunosuppressed consumers because the Foaming Sea Salt Scrub is used to exfoliate the skin’s surface, causing an invasion of the organisms directly into the skin.

Arbonne made the recall willingly and replaced, exchanged or refunded all money paid for the recalled products. On another occasion, Arbonne International was forced to recall its line of Figure8 Peanut Butter Chews due to further health risks involving Salmonella, an organism that can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in children and elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems. The deadly bacteria is known to cause fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.
