EllieMD Overview
EllieMD was founded in 2024 by Hanieh Sigari, a biochemistry and gerontology graduate who previously founded the personalized wellness and direct-selling company Qyral. Sigari left Qyral in May 2024 and launched EllieMD shortly afterward, bringing a number of former Qyral consultants into the new business. EllieMD operates as a telehealth and wellness platform connecting customers with independent medical providers and licensed pharmacy partners rather than directly practicing medicine or dispensing prescription medications itself.
The company focuses on longevity, weight management, hormone health, sexual health, peptides, skincare, and nutritional support. Its programs include physician-guided GLP-1 weight-management treatments, hormone therapies, peptide protocols, protein and nutritional products, and skincare. Customers complete an online health assessment, undergo review by a licensed medical provider, and, when a prescription is approved, receive medication through a partner pharmacy. EllieMD states that it works with physician networks and 503A and 503B pharmacy partners.
EllieMD sells through independent Brand Partners and Business Partners. Individual Brand Partners can enroll for $79, with a current $8 monthly technology fee, and the company does not require them to purchase or maintain product inventory. Partners market EllieMD through personalized referral links and can earn sales commissions of up to 40%. Medical practices, med-spas, chiropractors, and other businesses can enroll under the Business Partner program and integrate EllieMD's telehealth platform into their existing operations.
The compensation plan includes personal sales commissions, multilevel organizational bonuses, rank advancement bonuses, leadership incentives, and recognition and travel programs. EllieMD's December 2024 plan required 200 Personal Volume to qualify for certain level bonuses and 600 PV over a rolling nine-month period for a Brand Partner to remain in good standing and retain a downline organization. The company maintains an income disclaimer stating that participation does not guarantee earnings.
EllieMD's launch became tied to a legal dispute involving Sigari and her former Qyral business partner and husband, Dariusz Banasik. Sigari and Qyral had already filed federal litigation against Banasik in March 2024. After EllieMD launched, a temporary restraining order entered in June briefly restricted EllieMD from selling competing Qyral products and soliciting Qyral consultants and vendors. The order was modified later that month to allow EllieMD to resume operations, with restrictions governing competition between the two businesses. The dispute arose from the ownership and control battle surrounding Qyral rather than from an allegation that EllieMD's compensation plan was an illegal pyramid scheme.
EllieMD has since developed into an established direct-selling telehealth company.
