eXfuze is no longer active under its original name. The company rebranded as KZ1 in 2017, and Kannaway acquired substantially all of KZ1’s operating assets and distributor organization in August 2023.

eXfuze was founded in 2007 and introduced commercially in 2008 by brothers Rick and Don Cotton. Headquartered in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, the company developed a network-marketing business centered on concentrated botanical and nutritional supplements. Its flagship product was Seven+ Classic, a liquid supplement containing extracts from açaí, goji, noni, mangosteen, gac, sea buckthorn and fucoidan, along with pomegranate, blueberry, aloe vera, grape seed and Concord grape ingredients. The company also contributed a portion of its global sales to VivaKids, a charitable organization established by Rick Cotton and his wife, Ann.

The product line expanded to include Seven+ PROformance, Seven+ Premium Focus, GreenZilla nutritional drinks, Summa Café cold-brew coffee products, weight-management supplements and transformation packages combining nutritional products with diet and exercise guidance. At its height, eXfuze reported operations in approximately 12 international markets, annual revenue exceeding $40 million and a sizable presence in Japan and other Asian markets.

eXfuze distributed its products through independent representatives using a multilevel compensation plan. Distributors earned retail income from product sales and could qualify for fast-start bonuses, residual commissions, rank advancement and other incentives based on personal and organizational sales volume. The company provided replicated websites, training calls, webinars, online videos and corporate events to support its salesforce.

In October 2017, eXfuze changed its name to KZ1 and narrowed its product offering around Seven+ Classic and the Impaqt supplement line. Robert Kelley became chief executive officer after Don Cotton stepped down for health reasons. KZ1 retained eXfuze's strongest international market in Japan and continued operating as a nutritional-products MLM.

In August 2023, Kannaway, the network-marketing division of Medical Marijuana, Inc., acquired substantially all of the operating assets of eXfuse LLC, doing business as KZ1. The stated purchase price was $5 million, consisting of $150,000 at closing and up to $4.85 million in conditional royalty and sales-override payments. The transaction transferred approximately 1,450 KZ1 distributors in Japan to Kannaway and added KZ1's Focus nootropic product to Kannaway's wellness portfolio. The former eXfuze.com domain is now listed for sale.
