THriV is a health and wellness company founded by Adam Vincent Gilmer, a longtime direct-sales and network-marketing executive. Gilmer traces the company's charitable concept, THriV 1-4-1, to work he began around 2010, while the California corporation THriV, Inc. was formed in February 2018. The company was originally based in Southern California and now lists its corporate headquarters in Incline Village, Nevada, with a warehouse and distribution operation in San Juan Capistrano, California.

THriV built its business around organic and plant-based nutrition. Its flagship products include organic protein powder and nutritional food bars, with an emphasis on certified organic, vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and plant-based formulations. The company's current catalog also includes the JPure water filter and ionizer, Synerchii nutritional products, and several other health and wellness items.

A central part of the THriV identity is its 1-4-1 program, which connects product purchases with nutrition assistance for children and communities in need. THriV describes the program as a one-for-one model in which sales of nutritional products help fund or provide nutritional support through charitable partners. THriV later expanded significantly through the acquisition of Organic Food Bar, an established natural-food brand originally developed in the early 2000s. The acquisition gave THriV an established retail product with a history that predates THriV itself. Organic Food Bar was founded by Dr. Jack J. Singh in 2001 and developed one of the early certified-organic whole-food nutrition bars. THriV now markets the Organic Food Bar products through its own website as well as third-party retail channels.

THriV also sells organic protein powder through both one-time purchases and recurring subscriptions. Customers can choose monthly or multi-month delivery schedules, and the company operates a VIP rewards program that awards points for purchases and referrals. Wholesale purchasing is available separately for businesses and other qualifying buyers.
