Waiora was founded in Florida in 2004 under president and chief executive officer Stanley J. Cherelstein. The company promoted healthy living through balanced meals, fiber-rich foods, regular exercise and nutritional products intended to address aging at the cellular and biological level. Its earlier catalog included antioxidant skincare, cardiovascular-health packs, fiber blends and healthy-aging formulas. Securities filings identified Cherelstein as Waiora's president and CEO beginning in December 2003 and Rik J. Deitsch as chairman of its scientific advisory board beginning in April 2004.
The company became best known for Natural Cellular Defense, or NCD, a liquid supplement containing activated zeolite. Other products sold over the years included NCD2, Essential Trace Minerals, Superior Colloidal Silver, weight-management products, energy supplements, fiber formulas and skincare items. The current BuyWaiora.com store sells a reduced catalog that includes NCD, NCD2, mushroom coffee, Lean + Green Tea and ActiveBlendz Control.
