Amway

GRAND RAPIDS, Michigan - October 12, 2026
Amway has named George Aquino president of Amway Hotel Corporation (AHC), the hospitality management company that runs the direct seller's hotel and restaurant holdings. The appointment took effect October 12, 2026.
Aquino succeeds Rick Winn, who has led AHC since 2013. Winn will move into a part-time advisory role with the company.
The move brings Aquino back to AHC after a little more than two years as president and chief executive officer of Ayala Land Hospitality in Manila, Philippines, where he oversaw a portfolio of about 6,000 rooms across 25 properties. Before that he spent 31 years with AHC, including 2016 to 2024 as vice president and managing director. In that role he helped lead the company's portfolio expansion and management-contract growth strategy, and he led the opening of the JW Marriott Grand Rapids, serving as its general manager.
Amway president and chief executive officer Michael Nelson said Aquino brings deep experience and a clear appreciation for what AHC means to Grand Rapids and West Michigan, and thanked Winn for the lasting impact of his leadership.
As president, Aquino will lead AHC's enterprise strategy and operations. AHC manages 16 hotels with about 2,800 rooms and 42 restaurants and lounges in Michigan, Florida and the British Virgin Islands. Its downtown Grand Rapids properties include the Amway Grand Plaza, JW Marriott Grand Rapids, AC Hotel by Marriott Grand Rapids Downtown and Courtyard by Marriott Grand Rapids Downtown, which anchor the city's convention district.
Winn has been with AHC for 29 years. When he became president, the hospitality portfolio consisted mainly of the Amway Grand Plaza and Peter Island Resort and Spa. It has since grown to its current 16 hotels. Winn will keep his seats on the Grand Rapids Downtown Development Authority and the Grand Rapids-Kent County Convention/Arena Authority. Both bodies are behind a new 12,000-seat amphitheater and an 8,500-seat soccer stadium scheduled to open in March 2027.
The hotel company is a little-known part of Amway's business. Amway itself sells Nutrilite, Artistry and XS products through independent Amway Business Owners in more than 100 countries and territories. The leadership change comes weeks after Amway agreed to a proposed $225 million settlement with the Federal Trade Commission and Washington state over its recruiting and earnings claims. That settlement still needs court approval.
