March 31, 2026
eXp World Holdings, the parent of eXp Realty, disclosed in a Form 8-K filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission that the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia granted final approval on March 31, 2026, of its nationwide settlement of the commission-related class action brought by 1925 Hooper LLC and other home sellers.
The settlement agreement, entered into on December 9, 2024, by eXp World Holdings and several eXp Realty subsidiaries, resolves the case, Case No. 1:23-cv-05392-SEG, on a nationwide basis. Under the deal, eXp agreed to pay 34 million dollars into a qualified settlement fund and to change certain business practices.
The company said the settlement will become effective when the time to appeal the judgment expires or, if an appeal is filed, upon its final resolution. The settlement is not an admission of liability by any party.
