doTERRA chief executive David Stirling said he will leave that role to serve as a mission president for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints beginning in the summer of 2022. Corey Lindley will succeed him as chief executive. Emily Wright will become president. Greg Cook will preside as chairman of the board.

Stirling said service was part of the company and that he and his wife would spend three years supervising missionaries and working with church members and the local community. The announcement sets the handoff for 2022 rather than an immediate departure.

The plan changes the chief executive, the president, and the board chair in one transition. No financial terms or interim timetable beyond the summer 2022 start were given.
