eXp Realty said it has launched operations in Luxembourg, led by Karim Layouni, who has more than 12 years of real estate experience in the country. Layouni began his career in the RE/MAX Luxembourg network, where he worked as a broker and manager across 14 offices and about 140 agents, and later joined RE/MAX Belgium as business development manager before becoming its chief operating officer.
The launch follows seven new markets opened by eXp Realty in 2025, including the Netherlands, Turkiye, Peru, Japan, Ecuador, South Korea and Romania, as the cloud-based brokerage pursues a goal of operating in 50 countries by 2030. The company said it is focusing its 2026 international expansion on mature, professional markets.
"Traditional, standardised brokerage models are reaching their limits," Layouni said. "Our goal is not simply to grow quickly, but to grow well."
