eXp Realty said it opened brokerage operations in Chile, expanding its South American presence alongside Brazil and Colombia. The company said Chile became its 22nd market, with more than 84,000 agents worldwide at the time of the announcement. Virginia Restrepo was named to lead the Chile operation.
The opening followed a May plan to enter Chile and Dubai and earlier 2022 launches including New Zealand. eXp said it would hire local leadership and onboard agents onto its cloud-based platform. Management framed Chile as a strategic CALA expansion intended to deepen share in Spanish-speaking markets while agents retain equity-participation opportunities typical of the eXp model.
