eXp World Holdings said eXp Realty expanded into Colombia under the eXp Colombia banner. The company said it then operated in 14 countries and territories with more than 50,000 agents worldwide. Michael Valdes, president of eXp Global, said interest in the Colombia launch was strong and pointed to housing price growth, digital infrastructure, and an entrepreneurial culture.
Santiago Carrizosa was named managing broker for eXp Colombia. He brings more than 24 years of Colombian and international real estate experience. Carrizosa said the market needs more efficient tools and models and that eXp Colombia aims to change how property is bought and sold.
The company said Colombia was the first of three markets planned for the second quarter of 2021, with Spain and Israel scheduled later in the quarter. Puerto Rico, Brazil, Italy, and Hong Kong had opened earlier in 2021.
